Subject to correction by medical expert, I am of the opinion that it is not possible to reduce the height because the process of bone growth cannot be reversed. Regarding maintaining the health, regular exercise, disciplined lifestyle and healthy food is the obvious solution. However it is always advisable to obtain opinion of medical experts instead of getting carried away by the claims of commercially minded service providers.

No, it is not possible to reduce height but it is possible to stop the further increase in height.
Such an increase in height may have many reasons like- hormonal imbalance, family history or genetic in-heritage, etc. So, he may consult a doctor for the same to stop further increase in height.
Lastly, please ask him not to feel bad. God has given him some thing rare which is good at one or another point. He should think about to be advantageous with his height by playing basket ball or tennis.

There is no way to reduce height without intrusive medical procedures. However, there is no available record available of being carried out to reduce height. The procedure would be complicated and would involve reshaping of the bones – mainly in the spine, legs and arms. It's a difficult if not impossible feat.
Your brother will have to accept his height. Most Indian men crave for good height. His peers might be teasing him or he might be finding that he is different from them. Whatever the reason for his distress and embarrassment your brother needs to boost his confidence. You and your folks can help with this. Say positive things about his height when he is around. Say things like, his height adds to his personality or a good height is always an advantage. You can also compare him with famous tall men. The aim is to spread positivity around him and make him feel good about his height. At 18 young men are still discovering themselves, and are often insecure in their skin.
He must be advised to add bulk to his frame. If he puts on weight or develops muscles his lean frame will appear fuller and take away from his height. To attain this he must eat a healthy diet and exercise. I suggest he sees a nutritionist for proper guidance regarding his diet. However, the rule of the thumb is that a balanced diet that includes healthy proteins, healthy fats, low fat dairy, fresh fruits and vegetables is the best. Remember, protein is known for its muscle building properties and carbohydrates and fat can add bulk. Make sure that he eats foods such as –
• Lean meats – chicken, mutton
• Soy products
• Whole grains
He can also begin weight training to help gain muscle. Gym instructors might recommend commercially available protein supplements – avoid them as they generally contain artificial chemicals and can be harmful to health, in the long run.

Height can't be reduced at all. However if you are in the age group where your height is going to increase. You can slow it down by gaining weight.
You can start eating more and also do the exercise. This should make some changes in the BMI values. And you can then start to gain some weight. And this process eventually slows down the height gain as well. There are some of the tablets and the powders in the market which may help in weight gain. However there is nothing set in stone for the weight gain as it is slow process.
There are some of the gym where you can get some guidance on the weight gain. This way the training related to the diet and the further guidance can be given.
Getting into sports can be healthy activity too. You should focus on that and this can be healthy. In case of weight gain, this surely slows down the height over a period of time.

Once, you have attained a certain height, it cannot be reversed back. Increase in height may be attributed to family -genetics or even, there may be some hormonal - disbalance. In case of hormonal disbalance, you may have the consultation of health- expert to regulate the same.
However, you can gain weight with some diatery changes in your regular consumption. The diet must be balanced one containing milk, fish, chicken, green vegetables and fruits like apples, bananas, grapes etc. You can add healthy fat in your diat such as a table - spoon of cow - ghee or butter in each your principal meal.
Taking banana regularly with warm milk also causes weight gain.
There are some gyams which can be taken up with the guidance of an instructor for healthy weight gain.
There are certain health drinks available in the market claiming to enhance your body - weight. Instead of resorting to such drinks, stick to healthy diets since these health drinks may contain certain chemicals - not conducive to your health.
