As per the present age requirement issued by CBSE, a student appearing for 10th boards should have completed 14 years as on 31st March of the year the in which the child gets admitted into class 10. That means your daughter should be 14 years old in March of 2019, when she goes into class 10. Since your daughter is October born she is likely to face problems, as she will not meet the required age.

It is best you consult the principal of the school for further guidance. There might be some loop holes and technicalities in the system via which your child might be allowed to appear for the board examinations in 2020.

My suggestion is to let her repeat a year now than at a later stage, as that might have an adverse affect on her. If you choose to make her repeat a class, make sure you change her school.

Your daughter is born in October, 2005. So, as par the extant rule of CBSE, she won't be eligible to appear in CBSE Xth Standard examination in 2020. You may seek clarifications from CBSE. The helpline number is 1800118004.

The minimum age required for giving CBSE exam in 14 in clasa 10th and this is announced by the government for other boards also . Your daughter age is 14 in 2019 and he will be appear in board exam in 2020. So there will be no problem for appearing in CBSE exam.
Yes in this time it is a very big factor because for your preparations of 11th 12th, graduation and engineering in which when placement time is going on then the company manager HR section asking you about your age and there are some limitations for government job.
I think there is no problem for class 10th so you think about her future. The age is an essential role in future.

CBSE has not fixed any age criteria for appearing in Xth board examination. The students are required to satisfy themselves about the minimum and maximum age criteria fixed by the state/UT Governments and applicable to the place where the school is located. Therefore specific answer to the query raised by the author can be given only after knowing the name of the place where the concerned school is located.
