Anyone with Graduate degree in any discipline, from a recognized University can opt for the MBA Finance. Do note that each university has their own way of managing the entrance and other admission procedure.
Most of the universities have entrance test. And based on the marks, you are allowed to enter. And from there you can join the course. In case of distance learning, there is no entrance tests for most universities but they have some specific seats limit. There are also some open universities from coursera and udacity where you can take the course too.
Most of the entrance exams are pretty generic. And they offer the national level MBA entrance exam syllabus pattern. So you are going to prepare like any other MBA aspirant. Do note that some universities may have different syllabus for the entrance so you have to check while applying.

Admission in good MBA programs in reputed institutions are done though fiercely competitive entrance examinations. Therefore hard work is required to be done for clearing such competitive examinations. Doing MBA in finance or in any other specialization, just for the heck of it by securing admission in any private institution through management quota on payment of capitation fee may not lead to desired results. Some of the main competitive entrance examination in India for admission in MBA program are - Common Admission Test (CAT), IBSAT (IBS Aptitude Test), IIFT (Indian Institute of foreign Trade), MAH - MBA/MMS CET (Maharashtra MBA Common Entrance Test), XAT (XLRI), SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) etc. There are many more about which information may be collected by simple googling.

MBA in finance is a good choice as it has an edge over other branches. You need to appear in the national level exams for securing a seat by merit. Main exam which covers the maximum number of seats all over India is MAT which is short form of management aptitude test. MAT is conducted by All India management association. Apart from Government Colleges, many prestigious private colleges also consider the score of MAT. Another national level exam is CAT which is short form of common aptitude test. Securing good score in CAT will give you a chance to study in the prestigious IIMs. Apart from these exams some colleges conduct their own test XAT is conducted by XLRI. Some other colleges of good repute are Symbiosis and ICFAI for management. If you want to do MBA with your job then you can opt for online MBA or distance MBA. Distance MBA by IGNOU is best.

You can find attractive oppurtunities after acquiring the Finance - stream from MBA but you must be prudent enough in selection of some renowned Institute for your continuation of studies. The best way would be to appear in the CAT examination so that you may get selection in a top IIM Institute where you would continue your studies in Finance. Xavier Institute, too, can be selected by clearing XAT examination. Some top class Management - schools even select the candidates through the mode of CAT and in case you get a seat in that way, you must avail it. Some Institutes adopting the method of MAT can also be considered for admission provided there is scope for Campus - placement in such Institutes.
In the years to come, there would be plenty of scopes of the Management - graduates having specialisation in the Finance - stream such as Banks, Government - offices and Accounts - departments of Public - undertakings.
