The minimum eligibility criteria for admission in B.Sc. in Geology program in 10+2 pass without any essential requirement of having maths as one of the subjects at 10+2 level, though it will have to be checked with the university concerned to which the college is affiliated. In the case of B.Sc. (Hons.) in Geology course course of DU, the requirement of subjects studied and passed is Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Geology/Biology/Bio-technology/Geography with 55% or more marks in aggregate of 3 subjects as mentioned and one compulsory language (i.e. English) with 50%. Selection is made on the basis of marks in aggregate of 3 science subjects as mentioned above.

Each university has different criteria for the geology degree. However most common eligibility includes entrance test and 10+2 with minimum percentage as specified by university. Geology major allows you to skip maths and after 10+2 degree. So you can take the degree without having to go through the math and few other subjects.
The requirement for the geology degree is - 10+2 in science stream. You can pick up the Geology BSC degree or the Mining engineering degree. Most of the work in the engineering stream is going to be a field work.
In case of BSC, you'd be going through chemistry, physics along with few other subjects. The subjects that deal with the various aspects Geo medium are covered. The field work for the BSC is after 2nd year 2nd semester onwards.
