Yes, it is true that there are many health benefits associated with Kulthi (horse gram). There are following nutritional facts of kulthi (horse gram). Horse gram (Kulthi) is a reddish brown legume with many health benefits. It provides you many nutritional benefits at the same time and rich in taste. Horse gram (kulthi) is also a favorite food for all walks of people. It is a grain with rich amount of vitamins, proteins and iron. Horse gram (kulthi) contains good amount of B-Complex vitamin. Horse gram (Kulthi) also used to reduce the extra fats in the body and body weight. It is having good amount of dietry fiber. Horse gram (kulthi) also helps to balance the blood pressure and sugar glucose level in our body.

It can be used as ayurvedic medicine. Horse gram is suggested to consume to sort out health problems such as worm infection, gastric, skin raches, difficulty in breathing, excessive perspiration, ulcers, cough, menstrual problems and regulate the fever. Horse gram ( kulthi, hurali, Madras gram ) is used to control the bleeding after pregnancy. Horse gram ( kulthi beans, hurali, Madras gram ) is used to treat the menstrual problems like irregular periods and heavy bleeding. Add horse gram ( kulthi beans, hurali, Madras gram) to your daily diet and watch the results, whether it is in the form of powder, soups, and sprouts. Add some amount of horse gram ( kulthi beans, hurali, Madras gram) to water and boil it, this boiled water will helps to regulate the fever. It can be used as a medicine for the patients who are suffering from weak liver and spleen enlargement. Take two or three table spoons of horse gram ( kulthi beans, hurali, Madras gram). Soak them ( horse gram) in sufficient amount of water for a whole night, in the following day make the horse gram ( kulthi beans, hurali, Madras gram) in to a paste. And consume it for two time a day. You can also drink the soaked water for the added benefits. Women can daily intake one table spoon of horse gram powder in the early morning on empty stomach to improve the overall health. But it is not recommended for pregnant women.

Horse gram can be cultivated in both tropical and subtropical climate conditions. This crop is also cultivated in low rainfall areas. Horse gram ( kulthi beans, hurali, Madras gram) can be cultivated on wide range of soils i.e black cotton soil, deep red loam and clay loam cultivation. It can also be cultivated in poor soils.
