One becomes a computer engineer through the dint of his hard work, dogged determination and sincerity in studies. In my opinion the board has not much to contribute in this direction. The fundamentals of mathematics and all other subjects should be made clear by repeating the lessons as may times as required. Maximum possible number of unsolved mathematical problems should be solved in examination like conditions. After completing the lessons of the prescribed text books additional books may be referred for finding unsolved problems.
It is best time for the author to start preparations for future. The set goal should to secure admission in IIT's/NIT's or such other premier institutions by cracking JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. It may be noted that there is fierce competition in the field of computer science. Merely possessing a degree by securing a seat in a private engineering college under management will fetch nothing. Remember only one thing - you have to work hard for the next ten years in studies only, nothing else.

It depends upon your mindset. By switching over from ICSE to CBSE will not suffice. But you have to take a bold step in learning and devoting your level best in the field of mathematics and science which are the basics to become a computer engineer and how much time you devote for the studies is more important. You have to attend best coaching classes and solve innumerable number of mathematical problems and concentrate on the same. In this competitive world just by securing a degree in Computer Science will not suffice but you to have to come out with flying colours.

You can get formal computer science degree in IIT or engineering college. You can also get the same educational experience in BSC. Also even if you do some degree in another subject you can switch after graduation. In that case you have to do the MCA after graduation. This way you can easily get into the computer engineering.
If you choose to go with different path, you can consider doing external courses. Think about starting the courses such as Java, .NET and Big data. These are some of the known and popular courses which can land you in the better career. This way you can consider the software or hardware job which outside the campus recruitment route.

i must appreciate you ask this question at this age and you will become a good and skilled computer engineer if you start on getting knowledge through very references. it doesn't matters whether you study in CBSE or ICSE. You only have to develop your skills in that particular field because your goal is clear. only to go into industries you need a basic education with good percentage that is you must have 70% or above in 10th, 12th and in your graduation. and if you want to study your computer engineering from top colleges then you must prepare for JEE but in the end it only matters your skills towards computer engineering. in the end you have to be skilled that's all matters. so start learning computer programming and logics and try to write your own programs in future and also try to implement ideas as a computer programming you are getting in your mind to become a expert computer engineer. all the best for your future.

Changing the pattern of the course ICSE from CBSE or vice versa would not help you much in attainment of your objective ie to become a computer Engineering.
What is required at this stage is to have thorough grasp of your text book of both classes eleven and twelve so that there is no impediment in understanding the basic concept relating to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. An effort must be made to clarify the doubts coming across in course of studies with your class teachers or mentors. In order to get a seat in a premiur Engineering - colleges, IIT, NIT or Regional - engineering colleges should be your prime focus. You may enrol yourself in noted Coaching - institute like FIITJEE to enhance your expertise in the related subjects. Mock - test provided by such Institutes would assess your strength and weakness in preparations of the competitive test. Take the benifit of the same.
Your induction in a premiur Institute would ensure you to get a job in a top IT company through campus placements.
You have to strengthen your basic concept apart from a good communication and written skill in English to influence the Employers.
