The staff selection commission conducts every year a national level written examination for the recruitment of junior engineer for civil, electrical & mechanical trades. Minimum educational qualification in such cases is a degree or diploma in civil or electrical or mechanical engineering. Maximum age limit also applies which is generally 32 years. Selection of the eligible candidates is done through a national level open competitive written examination.The examination consists of written test only (Paper-I and Paper-II) and there is no personal interview. The objective type Paper I consists of questions on general intelligence & reasoning (50), general awareness (50) and general engineering - electrical or mechanical or civil (100). The subjective type conventional Paper II is meant for testing knowledge of general engineering - electrical or mechanical or civil (300).
