It is up to the private company concerned to decide about posting of their employees. Their requirement is their transfer policy. The candidates are expected to abide by the orders of the private companies in such matters. It may be noted that nowadays there is fierce competition for getting a job, therefore it is advisable to not to lose job on this count. The private companies are commercial ventures and therefore they have to take their own decision regarding deployment of their manpower as per their specific requirement.

This seems to be an internal policy issue. So the transfer policy is going to vary from one company to another. There is no fixed policy on this set by government or any law. You can be transferred depending on the work and the requirement. It all depends on the company and it's operations in the branch.
You have to ask the manager for how long such transfers are going to be in place. You just have to proceed with the company policy. They may put you up for transfer depending on their requirement.

MNC companies have come into existence to promote their bussiness with the efficient man- power. So, it was a part of their programme to upgrade your skill by providing you a special training in a related field. Time to time, a periodical review is done from their end to relocate manpower in the event of less/ no work in a particular place. Transfer - policy is one of their strategies to utilise the potential of their employees.
The employees are supposed to follow their instructions in all the circumstances adverse or the otherwise while remaining in the roll of the companies.
