Timely updation of bank's pass book

Date: 07 May 2016   Posted By: Ms. Mitra     Group: Opinion About    Category: Miscellaneous

At present State Bank of India has installed an updation machine at SBI ATM. That's why we now don't have to wait or stand in a long queue in the bank in the working hours, pending all important jobs.

But United Bank of India (UBI) has not yet installed such machine. On regular basis they will accept only 50 pass books for updation in the 1st half of the working hours. But pending all important work at office time we cannot reach earlier to be included within that limit 50. That's why UBI pass book's updation is pending for a very long time. So what is the remedy, so that we can update our pass book without going to the bank?

The same problem occurs in case of Union Bank also. So what is the solution?

Moreover I cannot operate on Union Bank's Net Banking for a long time. As I have forgotten that bank's net banking password, what is the solution?

Want to know the procedure for updating your UBI pass books without going to the bank? And have your forgotten you net-banking password and looking for a solution? Find it here.

However there is no way you can update your pass book without going to the bank, You can get the detailed statement of all your transactions by logging in your net banking account. That's a simple solution.

Try using the Forget Password option on the login page of Net banking site of the bank. If you have your phone number associated with your account, most probably you can reset your password through a verification through OTP. If its not possible approach the bank authorities for the proper solution to the problem.

You have an option to keep the passbook at bank and collect the same before closure of the bank. This way many senior citizens are collecting their filled passbooks. Sometimes those passbook printing machines have power or other device issues. In such case the printing is done by the other bank members.

The best solution you can have is to use - phone app and netbanking. You can get an idea of entries and other details from the phone app. With netbanking you can even print out the details on your desktop too. So using these two options is more favorable for you. I'd suggest you to use one of these options.

All the transactions can viewed through online banking and if required, you can even download the statements and can get them printed. That is the only solution for passbook.
Another way, you can request bank authorities to update the passbook whenever the transaction has done physically. I mean, when ever you visit a bank for some cash deposit or cheque deposit, request them to update the passbook because as far as I know, they charge some amount to update 6 months old passbooks.

For your another query of password of online banking, there is a simple way. You just need to contact that particular bank branch in which you have your account and submit a letter for providing new user name and password. They will ask for some personal id proofs and after confirmation, they will post you the same.

Well, if there are no passbook printing machines you have no option than visiting the bank for updating the passbook. If you do not get enough time, you may consider sending in your passbook with some of your friends or relatives. Or if you know someone at the bank quite well enough, consider leaving the passbook with him/her and collect it the next day.
As for your forgotten netbanking ID or password, you will need to contact the concerned branch with an application for the same. They will allot a new username and password. The netbanking sites of most of the banks have the option to reset the forgotten password. At least they provide you an instruction on how to reset your password. Please go through the instructions.
