Delhi Technological University (DTU) was given status of an university in the year 2009. It is one of the top engineering colleges in India. Its degrees are fully recognized by Government for all purpose. The author may pursue engineering education at DTU without any doubt in case he is able to get admission in any course.
AMIE is totally different. The author may join a job on the basis of diploma in engineering completed by him and while doing job, may pursue AMIE through distance learning mode.
The author need not wait for any other program in case he is lucky enough to get admission in DTU.

Yes, Delhi Technological University is a AICTE approved part time
B.E or B.Tech university. In 2009, the college was given state university status. It is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India and Delhi's first engineering college. It offers B.Tech, M.Tech, Ph.D. and M.B.A courses. It is one of top engineering institutes in India.

You can go ahead with your further studies in degree in Engineering with Delhi Technological University since it is fully recognised and approved by AICTE. This college was assigned university - status level in 2009 and higher studies such as M.Tech and the Doctorate degrees can be persued confidently.
AMIE has been designed with a different purpose, it is not a regular programme and is intended for those who want to persue Engineering - course - equivalent to degree in Engineering with their personnel coaching. It would not impede their normal working since studies can be persued in the non - duty hours. There is a provision of clearing of papers in the instalment - wise manner and on completion of all the papers, one gets a approved degree from the ministry of HRD.
