Options on space research after 10th class.

Date: 14 May 2016    Group: Education    Category: India Educational Consultants

I am 10th class student. Is there any way to do a particular research on space immediately after 10 class? For example, after finishing my 10th can I have a option in which I can do more research in space subjects like cosmology and etc. If so what is this course?
Awaiting response.

There is no option available for conducting research in any branch of learning, not only in cosmology, after completing only 10th class. Research can be conducted after completing post graduate studies i.e. M.Sc. or M.Tech. The author may work hard for getting his fundamentals in science and mathematics clear during 10+2 phase and then work very hard for clearing highly competitive entrance examination for getting admission in engineering course in one of the reputed institutions. In case of outstanding performance in B.Tech. course, options for admission in dual degree M.Tech.- Ph.D. program will become available. It is right time to work hard for next 6 to 8 years for becoming able to carry out research in the field of cosmology.

A very strong grasp of concepts in subjects like maths, physics, chemistry, life sciences,coding/programming is very essential to jump right into this field after your tenth class.
After choosing these subjects in your twelfth ,you can give the ISAT exam held by Indian institute of space science and technology to join the bachelor's course for space research areas.
You will have to further specialise in your selected subject area in your masters and PhD courses and conduct research in government labs to gain entry into ISRO(Indian space research organization) and go into NASA as the next step.
Cooperative programs, scholarships and internship opportunities are available for students and more details can be found at the NASA jobs website.
The NASA Pathways intern employment program provides students in the US ,enrolled in a variety of educational institutions with paid opportunities to work in agencies and explore careers while still in school.

Any space research or Astrophysics degree requires you to have graduation in engineering. You need to get some degree and then apply for the higher graduation. This way you can get idea of when and where to apply for the further research. IISC and ISRO requires the candidate to have basic degree in research. There is going to be entrance exam and other process before you get enrolled in space research program.

There is no option available for conducting research in any branch of study including astro-physics/space research, after completing only 10th standard. Research option is available only after completion of Post-Graduation (M.Sc. or M.Tech. in the relevant branch).
