In order to print the Word document back to back, you have to do the following changes in your settings.

You can now use this setting per document printing basis or you can do this before sending the print. You can also select the option to choose "Manually print on both sides". After making all the settings ok as mentioned in above responses regarding the landscape page removal and removal of gap on the microsoft word as you want it to be.
This response is regarding the second querry mentioned in the question which is printing it in a book format.
The best thing to do if you want it to remain undisturbed and print as it is as it looks on word documennt, convert into pdf format and then took out all the print outs.
As in case of printing word doccumwnt many a timw it happens that page settings get changed while transfering of files from one pc to another pc.

If the computer in which you made this word document is connected to a printer, you can select 'print' in the 'file' located at the top left of your screen. Then, you can select 'print both sides' option (for newer versions) or you can select the 'print odd pages' option and then reverse the pages after printing odd pages and select the 'print even pages' option (for older versions). On the other hand, if there is no printer, convert the word document to a pdf because the look of your document you created may change. This is not necessary always.
Hope this answer helps.
