Pursuing teaching career after a gap since graduation

When and how should a master's student of computer science pursue his or her teaching career after a gap of three years after graduation and no experience in teaching? Is there a way to carry on research work from home without the need to do PhD? Is taking tuitions from home a good idea or giving UGC NET exam for lectureship?

The question raised by the author is not clear e.g. whether the author has completed the masters degree or still pursuing the same. Also in case still being pursued, then whether through distance learning mode or in regular class room learning mode. The gap between graduation degree and masters degree doesn't mean much in case the proposed teaching job has to be based on the masters program.
In case the author has an exceptional merit in the field of his study then there is always a chance to get teaching assignment in private coaching institutes and private school/colleges. In such cases, age, gap etc. doesn't matter much.
Similarly for self employment ventures like opening one's own private tuition classes or coaching center etc. such factors have no meaning.
The main requirement for gainful employment is the capability in the chosen field and consistent efforts and investment of hard work.
Passing NET is always hundred times better than taking home tuition. However the NET examination will have to actually cleared.
The logic behind carrying research work from home without Ph.D. degree is not well understood by me. Is it an euphemism for not making due efforts for clearing competitive examinations like NET?

The gap of three years after completion of masters in computer science does not matter much if want to remain engaged in teaching from your home or by joining Coaching - classes. Here your earning would depend upon your way of teaching, grip of the subject and above all a passion to outperform in this field. Aspirants interested to clear IIT mains and IIT advanced should have total clarity in any one of the subjects namely - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. If you can teach the aspirants intending to clear Engineering- entrance tests, you are welcome to this profession.
In case of your wish to join a regular teacher in a college, you are supposed to clear the NET test and ensure that your qualifying marks does not fall short of the minimum prescribed marks required for the appearance of the test.
To clear the NET test would be a better option than to take up tutions from home. You should strive for a gainful employment.
