If you are really creative and have passion about designs, you can go for any of the course form B.Arch and Interior designing.
In fact the better combination would be graduation in Architecture and then any short term course related to Interior decoration/designing.
A well defined degree with multiple scopes is always better then a pre-classified course with specific job options.
So, I would suggest you to go for Graduation in Architecture and if possible Post graduation also in the same field. This will give you excellent job opportunities in government as well as private sector.
Interior decoration related courses can be pursued as part time course which you can do anytime after wards. This combination of architecture and interior designing will be an excellent combination for you.

Successfully completing B.Arch. from a reputed institute is definitely a very good career option. There is no comparison between completing or B.Arch. and a diploma in interiors. However the author should try his/her best to get the place to which he/she belongs depending upon his/her capacity to do hard work in cracking the competitive entrance examination. In case the author is able to get admission in regular B.Arch. course in a reputed preferably Government college, then there is nothing like that.
I suggest for you doing B.Arch. course preferably by getting a merit bases seat which will open door for success..
In creative professions like architecture, merely completing a degree somehow doesn't mean much. One has to acquire competence for becoming successful in the present competitive world.

My younger sister is an Architect. I have seen her rising career graph from very close quarter. If you have passion for architectural design and have creativity, this stream has immense potential. At the same time, I would advise you to learn Auto CAD and similar computer applications for better prospect.
Nowadays Architecture has been sub-divided into specialisations like landscape architecture, urban planning, etc. You can go for higher studies in any of these fields according to your preference. The potential of Architecture is immense and this statement is applicable for all developed and developing countries (not only in India).

Now a days architecture is a must for buildings from a small house or office to multipurpose, multi-storeyed buildings. While engineering takes care of the structural matters, architecture takes care of the aesthetic values to combine with utility and beauty using optimum resources. Architecture has taken over the roles of building creation from the level of crude lines and shades of 'knowledgeable' friends and relatives to a scientific way of making maximum space utilisation, beauty and lighting and ventilation, work convenience and comfort-with the given resources . It starts from conceiving a building to the last piece o furniture and fixtures.
So architects especially those who have creativity have good demand.
It is better to complete B Arch and then go for additional diploma in the relative field.
