Many students complete graduation courses in physiotherapy. Is physiotherapy a medical course? If so, then how it is different from other medical courses like MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BUMS etc. Is physiotherapy a discipline of medical treatment like allopathy, homeopathy, ayurvedic etc?

Yes, Physiotherapy is a medical course just like other specializations in the same field.
It can be done as Diploma or Post Graduate Diploma in Medical field. Candidates with this qualifications are addressed as doctors only in broad terms and they can open their own clinics to treat patients through physiotherapy.

Physiotherapy is a part of the medical education. You need 10+2 and Medical entrance to approach the physiotherapy diploma. The process for admission is different than the regular medical courses. Also the diploma is of short for 2-3 years depending on the university curriculum. You can start your own practice after the completion. Most of the hospitals have position for the therapist. Also you can start your own clinic after that experience.
