An All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for admission to 50% seats of all India quota postgraduate medical courses like MD/MS/Diploma etc.
The total number of seats available under the all India quota were 5663 during the academic session 2015-2016. Details regarding the distribution of seats in various medical colleges are made available on the website of the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) - www.mcc.nic.
The duration of examination is 3 hours and 30 minutes and there will be a total of 300 questions. It is a computer-based test (CBT).
