Can a student apply for two masters degree programmes simultaneously as a private student?
A student is doing MA Hindi as a private student. He also wants to do MA English as a private student. i.e. Both degree courses are to be done as a private student. Both degree courses exam dates are not contradictory, there is a six months gap between both exams. I know that a regular student can't pursue two degree courses simultaneously. But the question is Can a private self study student pursue for two masters degree programmes simultaneously as a private student?

As far as I know, clear cut answer to the question raised by the author is not readily available. However the touchstone in such cases can be the fact that in case no false information is required to be submitted while filling application form for both the courses simultaneously , then it may not be illegal to pursue even two degree courses simultaneously. However it should be made a point to declare in the application form at an appropriate place that another course is also being pursued simultaneously. A copy of the application should be kept for the record and use in future in case required. If the application is accepted, then the course can be completed silently without advertising much about the subject matter.
