Yes, certain states have adopted the policy of reservation system for Girls in their education and jobs as well. States like Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have extended this quota of reservation to girls to an extant of 33% for getting admission in courses like MBBS, Engineering, Pharmacy, Law and state sponsored MBA courses. Thus a girl belonging to open category scoring a rank of 3000 is sure of getting a berth in a good branch in a University of college of Engineering while a boy can't be assured. As a whole, 33% of seats are catered for girls in various courses in these two states.
