Students join three years duration BCA degree course after completing 10+2 level. Not only science, but the commerce stream students are also admitted in BCA course by some institutions. The only requirement is that the students should have studied mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level. Thus BCA is the first degree course pursued by an student. Basic subjects related to computers are taught in BCA course. It primarily depends on the aptitude and orientatin of the students in subjects like programming languages which makes the difference. The subjects cannot be leant through rote learning method.
