A government job is certainly better as it is very secure. You can apply for jobs in railways, public sector companies, write the upsc tests and also apply to the DRDO, ISRO etc.
The pay scale is more attractive in the private sector but there is no job security and most recruits are not given permanent positions.
Please apply for government as well as private jobs. If you get a private job, work so that you gain experience and then when you get a government job, consider the benefits and decide.
Please do remember that you have to work in any job that comes in your way because it will gain you experience and also because you can say that you were working instead of simply waiting for a job offer.
I wish you all the best for your future.
You can also opt for higher studies if interested.

The job which the author can get without much delay is better. There is no gain in remaining unemployed for longer period waiting for Government job. In my opinion the author should try his best to get any available job whether Government or private.
Government jobs are better in the sense that there is enhanced job security. As far as pay structure is concerned that depends on the individual capability. In case of outstanding candidates, better pay can be possible in private sector. There is no connection between Government jobs and completing B.Tech. course from a Government college. In case of reserved category candidates, relaxed norms are applicable in Government sector and there is reservation also in Government jobs. In private sector there is neither reservation nor relaxed norms are applicable. Thus it depends on the individual case also.

It all comes down to how mentally satisfying career and financial progress you want to make in your career. For example, private companies may be uncertain with the job market, however they pay well and with proper saving and financial plan, you can get financial independence much earlier.
In case of government, the pay is steady with other benefits. Also the mental stress is very low compared to the private companies. However the grow is also slow. I think it all comes down to how you are capable of handling the job stress and willing to take the stress. These days the government jobs are also paying higher and also over a period of time.
In 2016, however your priority should be getting whichever job that comes to you at first. The reason being it's much better option than to sitting idle studying or searching for other jobs. Starting any job after graduating is a good option as it builds your savings and emergency funds. So you should approach the jobs with this mindset.
Both the jobs be it government and private have their pros and cons, but it all comes down to where you want to get the mental satisfaction.

Every Job has both ups and downs and even stress. But when it comes to private jobs it is more insecure than the Government jobs as there are many ways you can find yourself more secure in govt jobs. Comparing the benefits of the Government Jobs, you have less benefits in Private Jobs. And that too if you are capable enough to get a central government Job then there are lots of benefits that you can enjoy. You will be able to work peacefully and enjoy your life.
That may not be the case with Private jobs. If you are someone who would like to take up challenge and work on different things at a time, private Jobs will be very good where you will be able to get good food for your thoughts.

A government job is better compared to private job. But getting a government job is not very easy. Preparations has to be made accordingly. You should clear the competitive exams held. Government job is better because it is much secured. You will also get many other benefits if you are in government job.
But till you get a government job, you can try for a private job. If you get a job start working. Also simultaneously keep preparing for government jobs. And as an when you get opportunity, keep giving competitive exams and join a government firm.

The government jobs are definitely better than the private ones' because of prevalence of security in the former case. Both the sectors employ the best aspirants to achieve the targets of the companies but the working condition widely differs between the two. In the private sectors be it a steel plant, an IT company or a private college- you are answerable for your low performance and such an atmosphere creates undue stress within the mind - frame of the aspirants though one may be proficient in one's job.
Considering a job in a central - government, the aspirants enjoy the security in their jobs. Such condition is applicable in the jobs of public undertaking, banking jobs, ISRO or any job in UPSC. Such atmosphere in the central government jobs elevates the mood of the employees.
Despite all the advantages in the Government jobs, what is important is the rational utilisation of the time. In case, one comes across a private job, time is to be exploited fully by accepting them and later one may switch over the job in the event of gaining an appointment in the Central - government.
