Yellow fever vaccine is recommended for persons who are nine months of age or older and living in a country requiring such vaccination or intend to travel such countries. After 10 years, a booster dose should also be taken.
Yellow fever vaccine is a live, weakened virus and is given as a single shot.
They may be an increased risk of severe problems following vaccination in case of persons who are more than 60 years in age.
