What is All India National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)? Do the students who qualify in JEE are not eligible for admission in a B. Arch. courses. Why additional tests are require for admission in a B.Arch. courses. Please explain in detail the full admission procedure in B.Arch. courses.

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is a national level examination conducted by National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA) for admission to 5 year B.Arch Degree Course at all recognized institutions across India.

The test is in two parts:
1. Paper based drawing test to measure the drawing skill of applicants.
2. Computer based online test for aptitude level measurement.

ELIGIBILITY FOR NATA:
  • Any candidates having passed SSLC (Std X) or equivalent examination can appear for NATA or
  • Candidates should have passed in 10+2 or equivalent examination from recognized board/University with mathematics as one of the subject with minimum of 50% marks can apply for NATA entrance test.

ELIGIBILITY FOR B.Arch:
  • Candidates should have minimum score of 40% in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)
  • Candidates should have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks with Mathematics and English as subjects of study.

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is an examination conducted by National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA) for admission to 5 year B.Arch Degree Course at all recognised institutions all over India.

NATA is conducted in two parts:
(a) Paper based drawing test to measure the drawing skill of applicants.
(b) Computer based online test to measure aptitude level .

Students who have qualified X+II or equivalent examination from recognised Boards with Mathematics as one of the subjects with minimum of 50% marks can appear in NATA.

A student who has scored 40% in NATA can take admission in B. Arch in India.
