Is a ITI certificate treated as equivalent to passing the higher secondary certificate?

Is an ITI certificate treated as equivalent to passing the higher secondary certificate? Also are additional courses/subjects required to be passed for achieving such an equivalency. Can a ITI certificate pass student get admission in a degree program in a college or a university?

Yes, ITI certificates are treated as
equivalent to passing the higher
secondary certificate (+2). If you attend the two-year ITI course after Class X than it will be equivalent to Class XII certificate. Yes, a ITI certificate pass student get admission in a degree program in a college or a university.
