How admissions are made in pharmacy courses in India?

Eager to pursue a pharmacy course in India? Learn from experts whether or not there are any specific entrance exams for the course & the admission procedure for them.

How admissions are made in pharmacy courses in India? Is there any all India level entrance examination conducted for the same or only at state/college level the entrance examinations are conducted? Is it possible to get admission in pharmacy courses without passing any entrance examination?

Courses in Pharmacy have much demand in India as the Pharmaceutical Industry is well emerging and fast growing in various parts of the country. The 4 year B Pharm course is offered by various Premier institutions of India and other Indian Universities. The students who get qualified in JEE (Mains) and Advanced examinations can apply for these courses viz., B Pham/BE (Pharmaceutical Engineering) in NITs and IITs respectively. While some State Governments have made it a part of the Biological sciences stream in 10+2 level and selection to theses courses would be based on their rank in the Common medical entrance tests conducted by them for MBBS/BDS/BVSC/BHMS/BAMS/BPharm. I don't think there is a direct entry to these courses without passing an entrance test anywhere in India.
