Well, No. The Prime Minister of India earns more than the President of India. While Prime Minister's salary is 1.6 L per month, it's 1.5 L for the President. Other perks and allowances enjoyed by President in India are as below:

1. The largest Presidential palace in the world, "Rashtrapathi Bhavan" (RB) is his residence.
2. RB has 340 rooms maintained by around 200 staff. There is a stable, hospital, Mughal garden and a golf course as well.
3. Apart from RB, The Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bolarum, Hyderabad and Retreat Building at Shimla are the official Retreat Residences of the President of India.
4. The President holds 'Black Mercedes Benz' as his official state car designed to protect against military rifle shots and also to resist missile attacks or bombs.
5. Post retirement, he is privileged for
• Pension of Rs.75000 a month
• A furnished rent free bungalow (Type VIII).
• Two free landline and a mobile phone.
• Five personal staff including a private secretary
• Staff expenses of Rs.60,000 a year.
• Free train/air ticket with a companion.
