International Mathematical Olympiad or IMO is an international mathematics competition in which students from several countries participate. In this competition only those students can participate who are under 20 years and have not started at university yet. From each country, at most six students can participate. The selection procedure of students varies from country to country but in general it requires several round of competition and then final six are selected. In our country, Regional Mathematical Olympiad is organised and those students who qualify this test participate in Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) which is held every year. The students qualifying the INMO have to attend IMO training camp at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research where some of the top mathematician of country train the students. Here further test are conducted to select the top six students who have to represent the country. Olympiad is an international competition so, every year different country hosts it. IMO 2016 will be hosted by Hong-Kong. Winners in this competition are awarded medal as gold, silver and bronze according to their individual score. Medals are distributed in the ratio of 1:2:3.
