There re plenty of benefits of the star anise. Some of the nutritional benefits are as follows -

1. It is one of the good antioxidants and can be really good for the health.

2. Star anise has some good anti bacterial property that you can find for your stomach. And this helps with keeping the stomach clean.

3. Some foods have fungal properties and star anise being anti fungal can be a good digestive action for your stomach.

4. Star anise is very good source of shikimic acid. And for that reason it is often recommended source for regulating shikimic acid in your body.

Star anise is a crop that is native of Vietnam and is also grown in India. It is primary used for culinary use as it has a strong aroma and flavor. The unknown fact for many of us is that star anise is medicinally used for treating Flu infection. Star anise is a rich source for the shikimic acid that is mainly used for preparation of medicine called Oseltamivir used to cure flu.
