Dead cells can be discarded in many ways. Most of the time body makes use of the sweat, tears and urine for discarding the cells. Also during the fever the work of discarding dead cells and the regeneration process is rather slow. So it requires a lot of sweat to let the process go quicker. And that is where it also results in burning of carbs in the body and resulting in slight weight loss for the person. So burning of calories which results in sweat also leads to the removal of the dead cell.
