Of course B pays the maximum amount.

Solution: A pays 1/5th of the bill.
B pays 2/5 th of the bill.
    Remaining: 1-(1/5+2/5)=2/5
This has been equally divided by C and D.
    So, C pays: 2/5x1/2=1/5
    D pays: 2/5x1/2=1/5

    So, B pays the maximum.

Given that A pays 1/5 of the bill
B pays 2/5 of the bill
    Total bill pay by both A and B, A + B = (1/5) +(2/5)
    = ((1+2)/5) = 3/5
    Remaining bill amount = (5/5) _ (3/5)
    = ((5_3)/5) = 2/5
    Since C and D pays equally pays = D pays = (2/5) / 2 =2/10 = 1/5
    A pay 1/5
    B pay 2/5
    C pay 1/5
    D pay 1/5
Therefore B pat the maximum amount of the bill.

    According to the question,
A pays 1/5 of the bill.
    B pays 2/5 of it.
Hence the remaining amount to be shared by C +D = 1- (1/5+2/5)
    =1-3/5
    =2/5
Since this amount is to be shared by CAnd D equally and hence
    C has to pay 1/2 multipled by 2/5 = 1/5
    D has to pay 1/2 multipled by 2/5 =1/5
So, in this case, B pays the maximum amount ie 2/5.

    Hi,

Payment done by A is - 1/5th of the total bill and
Payment done by B is - 2/5th of the bill
Balance of the bill after payment done by A+B is
    1-(1/5+2/5) = 2/5,
Now remaining 2/5th of the bill is equally shared by C & D.
So, share of C is 1/5th of the bill and
share of D is 1/5th of the bill.

Hence Payment done by B is maximum among all.

  • #139394
    A pays=1/5
    B pays=2/5
    both together pays=1/5+2/5=3/5
    C and D together pays=1-3/5=2/5
C and D pays equal so each part is=2/5 divided by 2=1/5
hence B pays maximum amount in the restaurant.
    Ans :B

Assume that the total billed amount is 1.
A paid the amount 1/5 of the billed.
B paid the amount 2/5 of the billed.

    Rest amount is
    = 1-(1/5+2/5)
    = 2/5

    Acvording to the question,
Amount paid by C and D are same.
    So,
    = (2/5)/2
    = 1/5

.: Hence B paid the maximum of billed at restaurant.
    Ans- B

  • #139425
    A paid= 1/5
    B paid= 2/5
    A & B together paid = 1/5+2/5=3/5
    C & D together paid = 1-3/5= 2/5
    Amount paid by C & D are same. So, (2/5)/2= 1/5
Hence B paid the maximum bill at restaurant.
    Ans- B

  • #139428
    Amount paid by A = 1/5

    Amount paid by B = 2/5

Part of amount paid by A and B together = 3/5

Therefore part of amount paid by C and D = 2/5

    Amount paid by C and D seperately = 1/5

Therefore by using simple basic logic B pays the maximum bill.
