GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and this examination is important for those, who would like to persue M.Tech after Graduation in Engineering. An impressive percentile beyond 97 would help an aspirant to secure the M.Tech seat in a renowned Institute such as IIT, BIT ( Meshra), BIITS, etc. Passing out M.Tech from such institutes would pave the way for further research in their own field. After M.Tech you can go in for Doctorate degree.
GATE candidates are preferred in PSU companies such as SAIL, ONGC, DVC, BHEL etc for their impressive GATE scoring.
