How to check aadhar card postal status online?

Have a query about aadhar card delivery? Find advice from experts on this page.

I am residing in Bangalore, and have applied for aadhar card for my children on October 22nd 2016. Two months are over and I have not yet received the card. If I check the status, it says aadhar generated. How long does it takes usually take in Bangalore? I think they are sending the card by ordinary post. Is there any way to track postal status?
    How to proceed this?

HOW TO CHECK AADHAAR CARD STATUS

There are three means of checking the status of Aadhaar card.
    1. By visiting the website of UIDAI.
    2. By calling a toll free number of UIDAI and
    3. By sms from your mobile phone.
    1. It is very simple to check Aadhaar card status on line. While processing for the Aadhaar card individual is issued with an acknowledgement slip and it contains 28 digit number i.e. temporary enrollment ID (EID ). This EID is divided in two parts, 14 digit enrollment number and next 14 digits are date and time of enrollment. Visit the website of UIDAI. Under "Adhaar online services" you will get a link "Check Aahaar Status". After opening this link you will be asked to enter 14 digit enrollment ID in the box and in next 14 boxes you fill the date and time of enrollment as given in acknowledgement slip. Next there is a captcha image. You enter that image and click check status button. Status of your aadhaar card is in front of you if all the information filled correctly.
    2. By calling a toll free number 18003001947. You response the required information and you will be furnished with the current status of Aadhaar card.

To check the status you need visit Aadhar legal website where the above author's have mentioned. But the delay is not a problem because even when I had enrolled my self, there was a delay for more than two months. The same status even I was facing. I had inquired in the aadhar center where I had enrolled but they told me it processing that's why your getting that message. After a month I inquired I received my aadhar card by ordinary post. Those who does not have the internet facility and still want to know about the status of Aadhaar card, they can visit any internet center and give your Aaadhaar enrollment number and the internet cafe owner shall verify the status and updates you. And now a days many people are having smart phones with internet ready facility always and you can request them to verify the status and oblige. One thing is sure, those who does not have Aadhaar card would find difficult to transact the business in future and for every thing the reference of Aadhaar number is going to be made compulsory.

You can check the status in the following manners:-

    1. Go to the UIDAI website: https://resident.uidai.net.in/check-aadhaar-status. Enter the enrolment number, date and time of enrolment (indicated in enrolment id) and you can easily check the status.

    2. You can check the status by calling the helpline no. of UIDAI (18003001947). Here again, you have to indicate the enrolment number with date and time to get the information.

Generally in Metro cities, it takes more than three months to get the AADHAR card. In case of my father (living in Kolkata) the AADHAR card arrived after more than six months, whereas my mother's card arrived in two months. Both of them had earlier completed the enrolment process together.

    Caution: Explosive. Handle with care.

To know the ADHAAR status you can call the toll free number of UIDAI 18003001947 or send an SMS to 51969, while specifying 14 digit enrollment number with date and time.
If you got the message that the ADHAAR is generated and it is under processing, it means it is ready to dispatch. The authority sends all these cards by ordinary post and it takes time. In my family I got the card first and it is more than one year after the registration. the other members got it just 8 months ago and my father sill not received it. So, don't worry and have patience.Other wise you can take a printout of E ADHAAR card if you need it badly.
