Meet principle of the school/college explain them what the problem actually had in the marksheet. you may also write application or legal notice to school board for correction of name within period of 2 years because application after 2 years are not entertained by school board.
Change as soon as possible if school refuse than go to civil court praying for correction my father name which are incorrect and also praying for direction upon the said board to issue a fresh certificate duly incorporating the said name of his father.

You have to immediately contact the Board from where you have appeared in the Board examination. You have to submit the documentary evidence of the correct name of your father. And it is desirable to take up the matter as early as possible. If the Board is satisfied with the documentary evidence presented by you, then it will issue new certificate incorporating correct name of your father.

If the Board is not satisfied, then you have to sign an affidavit before a first-class magistrate of the city where you stay. The affidavit should be suitably worded. In addition, you have to give classified advertisment in one English newspaper and in one vernacular newspaper in this regard indication your father's correct name. You have to permanently preserve the original affidavit and the advertsiments .

    Caution: Explosive. Handle with care.

Please visit your university office. Show them your ration card, driving license or aadhar card. You should have adequate proofs that your father name is different. You should have corrected mistake post 10th ( SSC). It is very hard to back track for old certificate corrections. Still even if you have corrected HSC should be good enough to correct future certificates.
Along with proofs, get bonafide letter from your school for incorrect name.
Get your domicile and nationality certificate with correct name. Request for correction. worst case scenario just make sure your graduation you have corrected name. Mostly all jobs while interviewing they look graduation certificate. All the best.

Most of the board has done this facility online. Please check on the board web site. Is there an option to submit online form for the correction of the name? If the option is available then you can fill online form for the same. You have to submit necessarily document for example marksheet, photo copy of scholar book of school and certificate of principal.

If this facility is not available online then you have to fill off line form. you can collect the form from your principal of district education officer. The fill the form and submit the form at your board office (Baroda) with required document.
After the complete procedure board will issue you a new mark sheet within 7-14 days.
You have to submit fees for the same. It is free for the one year of passing but after then you have to pay some nominal charges for the same.

    Honesty is the best policy.

You can approach the Board of Secondary Education and Board of Higher Secondary Education respectively for corrections through the Head Master/Principal of the school/college. Incidentally the school/college would verify the correctness as the Transfer Certificate at the time of relieving from the school is issued by them only. I am not sure whether online facility is available, even it is there, the relevant documentary evidence along with the certification by the Head Master/Principal is to be uploaded or sent by post. Don't delay further and already it is late. You could have got it corrected for 10th class Marks sheet when you were studying 11th standard. Generally the 10th class Marks Sheet/Pass certificate is the basis for age proof and other things. Since it is not got corrected at that time, the 12th marks Sheet also continued with the same name.

For any corrections in your tenth marks list you can't go to Board directly. You have to approach Head Master of the school where you have studied. You have to explain him the problem,. You have to apply in writing to him explaining the problem correctly. You have to attach your birth certificate where your fathers's name will be correctly written. You have to pay the required fee also. He will forward it to the board with his comments. If you want you can go to board now and follow up there. Generally they will take 35 to 45 days and send the corrected marks list back to your school. Then you have to go to the school and get your marks list. This is the procedure you have to follow for correction in your SSC marks list.
