Are you planning to have laptop as server to host your blog? For that you will need server OS. Any Laptop with more than 16GB RAM and have multi processor , prefer latest core processors should be enough for configuration.
If you are looking to just open blog hosted by third party company then all you need is a good speed internet. For Laptop in that situation with 8GB RAM and i3 processor should be good. Prefer Dell and HP Laptops and they have good warranty support.

    The best mid range laptop not only for blogging and other task too is, as below;

    Lenovo Ideapad 100 or 110 or Lenovo G5080 i3 or i5.
Dell Inspiron 3000 series with Intel processor.

Note, all must be Intel processor one than AMD. Try their specs detail online before finalizing them. Most of the above laptops are above 4GB RAM and 500GB HDD plus other high end specs within or around 30K.

You may even try some of the Toshiba or Sony laptop if you would like to go for more budget.

    Hey dear ,
Specifically you are buying a laptop for blogging purpose then go for laptop with basic level functions .
Memory : 4 GB RAM or higher
Storage Drive (aka Hard Drive) : MINIMUM 250 GB . *Do not purchase a 128 GB HD*
    Display : 14 inch
Graphics Chip : 512 MB Video Memory or higher

    Recommended Accessories

    • External USB 2.0 (or 3.0) hard drive: Strongly recommended for data backup in case of laptop failure. Always keep a daily backup of files.

    • Personal Printer: For ease of printing from home. There are many public printers available on campus, but during high volume traffic times, may have wait times.

    • Wireless printing to a personal printer is supported on DU's wireless network, personal printers can also be used by connecting the printer and computer together via USB printer cable.

    • USB Memory Storage Devices: Strongly recommended for their ease of use and ability to encrypt contents in case of lost or stolen property.

    • Ethernet cable: These are required for wired connections on campus. They can be bought at the bookstore.

    • NOTE : Personal recommendation is go with more than basic level . In future you want to do more with your laptop then there is no need to purchase new one .If your budget is too low then strictly look for above points in order to buy a laptop .
      NOTE :
Dell's machines are a great choice, especially with their latest XPS models that do a little of everything, and do it anywhere. That includes the latest screen resolutions, connections, and software.
