Want to become nutrition and dietic professional?

Aspiring to make your career in nutrition field? Searching for career guidance online? Find advice from experts on this page.

Would you help me know following:
    1) I am in the 2nd Year end of my 4 year BSc(CBZ) i.e. Chem, Botany, Zool i.e. General/ unspecialized BSc. Now I feel so passionate to become nutritional and dietic professional for many personal reasons. Now, if I decide to first complete this general BSc, will I later be allowed to join directly in MSc (NUTRITION AND DIETETIC )?
versus: I will have to start right from the BSc(Nutrition & Dietetics) now?
    2) How much is the estimated fees for whole Bachelors???

As per the eligibility criterion your present subjects do not qualify for admission to M.Sc. in nutrition.

If you are very much interested for it you may have to do a B.Sc. in Clinical Nutrition with minimum 50% marks or B.Sc. (Hons.) in Food & Nutrition/Food Science/Food Technology again with minimum 50% marks.

Anyway you can see other opportunities also with your present subjects to avoid again going for admission in B.Sc.

The fee structure varies widely from college to college depending on the facilities and its location but on an average the fee for such courses varies from Rs 20000 to 60000 per semester.

    Knowledge is power.

In order to get admission in M.Sc ( Nutrition), you need to pass your B.Sc with the following subjects such as Microbiology, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Biochemistry etc and the minimum aggregate in order to appear the written test for the said test is fixed at 50 percent and the other condition is that you have to qualify the written test organised by the university.
So keep this thing in mind that you need to prepare thoroughly for the written test apart from passing the existing examination with an aggregate not less than 50 percent of marks.
The fee - structure would vary from university to university and the same may be anywhere between Rs40,000 and Rs 60000. You should take admission in a recognised university and the Institution should have an excellent track - record for teaching.
