There is a CSIR research center with Head quarters at Mysore by name central food training and research institute where in you can go for research there after completing your B Tech in chemical Engineering. You can contact them and try to get admission there.otherwise there are some PG Diploma courses in food processing. Once you complete that you will have good chances of getting a start for a good career in the line. Even with your B.Tech degree there are many chances for getting a job in food processing industry as a process engineer or as a production engineer. Once you put up a few years service there are many food processing jobs in private sector. You can try that. My suggestion is to start your career in the line you wanted and simultaneously improving your qualification by distant mode or correspondence course.
