For joining in a private college, you don't require any further qualification or written test. You can try in Hyderabad. There are many private colleges who will offer you a lecturer post. But the main issue here is the payments will be less and not in tune with UGC scales. If you want to get UGC scales you have to appear for the NET exam conducted by UGC for getting qualified for a lecturer post in a government college with UGC scales. Otherwise you a have to complete your PhD to get UGC scales. You join in any degree college as a lecturer and simultaneously you can register for your PhD with Osmania University or any other university in Hyderabad so that you will get teaching experience as well as PhD degree also. This will give you duel advantage/ The higher degree as well as experience. This will facilitate you to get better postings in good colleges and higher positions.

After acquiring this degree of MCA you are very well eligible to apply for lecturership in private colleges anywhere including Hyderabad.

You have to keep a watch over job portals, newspapers etc to keep a track of these vacancies being advertised there. Please note that there will be rush everywhere and many candidates will be in the fray wherever you apply.

You have to prepare your subject thoroughly and be prepared to answer any question in the interview. Do not sit over your percentage only thinking that it is sufficient for the purpose.

There are many colleges in Hyderabad where you can directly send your application and biodata requesting them to consider your name in case vacancies arise.

    Knowledge is power.

If you have master degree in IT field then can become lecturer. You can also become professor if you have Phd degree. Generally A post graduate degree is enough to become a lecturer in private colleges. You need 55% marks in post graduation degree for general category and 50% for reserved category. Qalifying the NET(National eligibility test) exam is manadatory for lecturer. Your post graduation subject should be same as NET exam subject. There is not any upper age limit and not any restrictions on attempt. Any post graduate can apply for lecturership.

After Masters degree in Computers, one is eligible to teach in degree colleges. Only thing is if you want it in Govt colleges then the NET exam is to be qualified.

This requirement is not there in private colleges. One can apply against the advertised posts anywhere in these colleges. You have to see the online job sites and newspaper ads to find out where the posts are being advertised by these colleges.

In Hyderabad, if you add up for Arts, Science, Commerce and Management stream, there are more than 200 degree colleges. So I feel there should be an opportunity coming for teaching time to time in those colleges.

Another consideration is that the salary in these colleges may be less than the Govt colleges but with time once you gain experience you can switch to better paying private colleges.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

To get an employment in private college you need not write any exam but to get employed in government college's you need to write an NET exam. But in private college employment is also not easy task. Some interview task will be given to you to check your ability to perform that task. Because teaching in private college you should be capable to teach engineering students also. But you have not mentioned in which subject your perfect with that is in web designing, programming, operation management, software testing, graphics design's etc. Its difficult to take up all subject's. Its better you get trained or be perfect in one subject so that it will be helpful for the interview judge's to employ you for that particular post.

    1. You have completed your MCA with 71% marks in 2011. Now you want to become a lecturer in Computer Science in private college.

    2. My question is: why private college? Generally, private colleges pay poorly to the teachers. Why don't you try to get a job of lecturer with UGC scale either in Government college or in private college?

    3. For lectureship with UGC scale, you have to appear in UGC NET in Computer Science. As you have obtained 71% marks in your MCA, you are eligible to appear in NET. Furthermore, as you have passed your MCA in 2011, I think you are also eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) through UGC NET.

    4. If you qualify UGC NET for both JRF and lectureship, you can start your research with full grant and simultaneously go on applying for lectureship. Think about this aspect and plan accordingly.

    Caution: Explosive. Handle with care.

With your existing qualification of MCA, you are entitled to get a job of Lecturership in a private engineering college in Hyderabad. The aggregate marks earned by you is quite impressive and now you have to update your cirriculam taught in your MCA level since there has been a considerable gap since you passed your MCA examination way back in 2011. If you can deal with the questions asked by the members on the interview board, you are sure to get a job. However, there exists a lacuna in respect of payment. The emoluments offered by any private engineering college is not as lucrative as that of government engineering college.
So the best option would be to prepare for NET and for which you are, of course, eligible while considering your aggregate marks. For a general candidate, minimum marks for the eligibility for this test is 55 percent. While continuing the the job in a private engineering college, make an attempt for the NET test with your determined effort so as to enhance your career prospects in the long run.
