Not all bank but certain branches only will do this. You have to see online which is your nearest service centre. There you have to go and get the correction made. The proof of name change you may have to carry with you. Once it is done for getting the approval it may take 10 days. Once it is approved you can download your Aadhaar card online.

You can visit the website to familiarize yourself. (https://uidai.gov.in/). Only address can be done easily online. For rest of the services you need to visit the Aadhaar enrollment centers that include post offices, banks etc.

In the website home page, select Update at enrollment center under the pink heading of aadhaar update. This will take you to the page wherein you can find out the nearest center for you and you can avail the services.

You would need one Proof of Identity document that has your correct full name or document. This would include Passport, PAN card, Voter ID etc. There is a nominal charge for services, please also carry other supporting documents,

Before going please check that you have at least two ID document with your correct name and spelling. In case you do not have then you would have to get a name change affidavit done via a Notary, publish in two news papers ( English and Vernacular) and then keep all the originals and approach the Aadhaar update office.

Aadhaar update center locator image is attached, please just follow the drop down menu.

No, it is not possible to correct your name in AADHAR card online. You can download the form from www.uidai.gov.in, fill it up and visit the nearest AADHAR updation centre along with supporting document which correctly indicates your name (Passport, Ration card, Election Identity card, Class Xth certificate). The updation is done in ten minutes or so. You will receive confirmation in your e-mail and mobile. You will receive the new AADHAR card within 15 days.

Recently I changed the address of mine and also that of my wife and daughter. The process is very smooth. The procedure is same.

At present, it is not possible to correct name in Aadhaar card online. For this correction, one has to visit nearest Aadhaar centre or designated bank branch.

Please take the supporting documents in favour of your correct name with you when you visit the centre or bank branch. As a caution take other documents also in support of your address and date of birth which may be handy in case some confusion arises there.

Nowadays, the process for correction in Aadhaar card is quite streamlined and after a few days you will get your corrected card online. You can download and take a print of the same to keep with you.

Earlier there was provision in online towards changing name, date of birth and address but recently the made it convenient only for change of address. But corrections in respect of name, father's name and date of birth can be done at respective aadhaar centers or e-centers organized by the respective State Governments easily without any delay or confusion. Only thing is the concerned person should go in person with necessary documents as well the mobile with the number given in the aadhaar at the time of enrollment. Delay in correcting the same should be avoided.
