Normally the caste certificate is given by the local village administrative officers. In your case you first approach with your father or mother to the VAO of your area concerned and obtain a caste certificate for you. Then you approach your school authorities for correcting your caste according to the certificate obtained from VAO. In case you cannot do so, you can take your father's caste certificate. When you go to the school you are advised to take your father or mother.

Caste certificates are important documents based on which a potential job can be granted. Often parents wrongly enter the caste in school forms out of ignorance or lack of guidance.

First have proof that you belong to the caste which you claim as yours. This is based on the father's caste indicated in his document. Please check the caste certificates of your father and or brother/paternal grandfather. and your original caste certificate. If you do not have this, then please meet the relevant authorities in your area (It can be done and you have to approach the Thesil/Thasildhar/VAO/DC/District Magistrate etc.
    ) and get it done

Once you have this evidence, then submit it with the prescribed format/letter requesting for the change, pay the fees to the SSC board which has issued the SSC certificate. If the caste is correctly entered in the school records, then you can get a letter from the school principal stating that as per the school records you belong to the caste BCE.

If you are denied this service and you have strong grounds to support that your caste claim is genuine, then seek legal advise for an expert lawyer who can help you to get the certificate correct. Even, if means spending money, I wouldn't hesitate and miss a golden chance of getting a job due to lack of the proper caste proof.

From your narration, it appears that you have already got a caste certificate long back from local administration but it is not reflected in your SSC certificate because while taking admission in the school level you did not mention this fact.

Anyway, if you are not having your caste certificate then you will have to approach the local administration that is SDM office to get it as per laid down procedure. Sometimes a legal affidavit duly signed by first class magistrate may also be required.

The next step is to apply to your SSC board office for issue of correct educational certificate based on your caste certificate. These procedures may take significant time but this is necessary to resolve the problem fully.

You belong to BC E. But this is not reflected in your tenth class certificate. No problem. First, you have to get your caste certificate from local authorities. You have to approach the Village Administrative Officer (VAO) and give him an application regarding your caste certificate. He will forward it to the concerned MRO. He by verifying the records and conducting the enquiry they will issue a Caste Certificate. This certificate is valid everywhere for availing the reservation. What is written on the tenth certificate will not be considered if it is different from the caste certificate. However, for avoiding confusion you can apply to SSC board through your high school regarding the caste. They will arrange for the correction.

At first, get a Caste Certificate from the local government body in your locality. I mean, write an application to the concerned authority in the Block and Circle Office to get the relevant certificate. After getting the Caste Certificate, approach to the Board from which you have done your SSC (10th). Visit the office, consult someone there to know the process/procedures and follow the steps to get your caste changed. I am sure you will get it done by following the right approach.

Yes, this is authentic answer. The DEO has the right for ordering the correction in name, father's name, DOB, caste, etc after the verification of documents. In Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh DEO has ordered many times for such type of cases. DEO also has to approve the application for printing new mark sheet.

    Honesty is the best policy.

No Certificate has caste mentioned. Only Leaving certificate and Transfer certificate have caste mentioned. That is reason school and college holds it till you go for further education. So you will need to check your School leaving certificate what is wrote in it. Secondly if you have caste validate certificate then you need not to worry. It is considered proof of your caste. But still before you make use of it make sure it is been accepted.

Firstly go to E-Mitra and fill an application form for getting caste certificate. Submit the filled form to E-mitra center and after few days you'll get your caste certificate in your hands from E-mitra. You can also change your caste in class 10th. There is not caste category mentioned in educational mark sheets that which category candidate belong. Only the surname is mentioned with your name and if your surname is wrong in certificate then you can change. For that you need to contact Headmaster of school and get letter with school stamp. Submit your mark sheet or letter which is get from H.M. to DEO office or contact board of SSC.

Getting corrected SSC certificate is not an easy task. There are long procedure that you will have to follow. If you want to get it corrected then you will have to first contact your areas BDO office if you do not have caste certificate. Apply for the caste certificate and get approval and then your application will get automatically forwarded to SDM office from there you can collect your caste certificate.
Once you get the certificate, write an application to your school principal about the caste change and get the signature on it. Now go to SSC office write an application or contact any concern person over there to know the process. Enclose all the documents including with principal's forwarded application.
This whole process will take about a month to get the corrected certificate. You should have some patience as it is a time consuming works.
There is one more way that you can follow. Do not apply anywhere else, just get the caste certificate and wherever it is needed to submit the SSC certificate just enclose with the caste certificate. Or, get an affidavit from the district magistrate stating that you belongs to so and so caste, for this you will have to present in front of the magistrate with proper document like your ID and caste certificate and other relevant documents. They will immediately provide you the affidavit. Then after you will be required to enclose only the affidavit with your SSC certificate whenever needed.
Wish you all the very best for your brighter career.
