Manipal Banking academy is one of the leading institutions in the country which imparts training to bank employees for enhanced banking and financial subjects. It has a tie up with many banks. It basically prepares them for higher responsibilities as well as to learn the latest development in the industry.

I do not think that it will be helpful to you for the intended purpose. If you want to qualify in IBPS then you will have to make self study or join a coaching class for banking services. If you are really interested in this line better start preparing for IBPS exam by studying the exam guides and by solving the earlier year question papers.

The IBPS exam consists of two phases - pre and main. In the pre exam one has to appear in the papers of English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability while in the main exam the papers will consist of English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and Computer. There is a gap between the pre and main exam. For example IBPS 2018 online pre exam is scheduled for Sep'18 and those who are shortlisted will be called to appear in online mains exam in Nov'18. The selected candidates will be called for interview sometime in Jan/Feb'19.

You have to attend the written test and oral test. Once you are selected you will be sent to this academy for study purpose and the expenses will be given by the bank as loan and it will be repayable in equal instalments from your salary. So if you want an admission to the bank you have to get coaching for facing the entrance and getting qualified. You have to get into a good coaching centre and get ready to face the written test. Be under constant watch for their notifications.

'Manipal' when said in connection with banking career should practically mean that the concerned bank selects fresh candidates to be its prospective officers by making them undergo customise or general training at the Manipal Academy as per the bank's needs.
