As far your choice for Mathematics is concerned. It is definitely an interesting subject provided you understand the basics of each chapter included in the B.Sc course.
In nut shell, Mathematics deals with a number of branches such as Algebra, Trigonometry. Co- ordinate - geometry, Solid - coordinate Geometry. Calculus,Differential - equation, Dynamics, Statics and so on. You can see without the basic interest in the different branches, you cannot command in this particular subject.
Though there will be slight variations in the courses of studies being followed in each recognised university, but basics are to be understood clearly for strengthening your knowledge in this subject.
You have indicated the places like Bengaluru, Chennai and Coimbatore from where you want to select one of the best colleges. I would suggest you to go through the website for the best selection of the colleges but remember, in order to secure high marks, your personnel dedication in this subject is required. You may take the help of some professor who can guide you in your deficient areas so that you can overcome your weakness.

Fortunately, in India, the standard of higher Mathematics education is really very high compared to other countries. In every major city of India, there are at least four-five colleges which provide very good Math education. I don't have much idea about Coimbatore, but both Chennai and Bengaluru have many good colleges for Mathematics students. You may check Presidency College, Chennai and IISc and St. Joseph's College of Bengaluru.

There are many other good colleges for Mathematics education in these two cities. Prepare yourself well for admission in any of these.

Please try to get an admission into Vivekananda College or the DG Vaishnav College, the MCC college or Loyola College, all of which are in Chennai. Of these, Vivekanandha College has always had a huge reputation for very good mathematics professors. There are some Autonomous Colleges in Chennai, where econometrics and statistics are taught as ancillary subjects. Choose the colleges too.

In Bangalore, the Christ college stands very tall with a good brand value.

Sri krishna college, Coimbatore and the prestigious PSG college of Arts and Science, apart from the VLB group are good enough in Coimbatore city, where the ambience for serious study is the best. However, please do note that a PG degree in Statistical Process Control followed by a doctorate in the same subject will open many doors. With experience, you can be a good Quality Consultant to many manufacturing organizations.
