    A. I have passed 12th CBSE with 80% of marks. I would like to know about the various courses to study after 12th commerce to get jobs in cruise ship. And also I would like to know about the colleges in Kerala.

    1. The scope of a good Job and a good salary in the Merchant Navy is good BUT it is not with 12th alone or a certificate course. A graduate degree, a bachelor's in Engineering or naval related field is very important to start with a higher post.Yes, people can join Merchant Navy after 12th with some certificate courses but these would be as technicians or deck hands and this wouldn't suit all.

    2. With 12th alone: One can consider a certificate course in baking, food and bevarages and hotel hospitality courses. The commonest course is the Genearl Purpose rating course for sea work. Some candidates also choose the deck rating courses ( which include various supportive roles on ships, navigation, cargo etc).

    3. Graduation course for Merchant Navy.
A BE or a BSc in marine engineering, naval architecture, nautical science, petroleum, harbour, ocean engineering is good to consider, if you have a dream of doing well in merchant navy.
