The schools where IB program is taught are known as IB world school. Only authorised schools can teach IB syllabus and techniques. IB programs are tailor-made for overall development of students in academic as well as personal aspirations.

There are many colleges in India offering this for different age groups of children and mainly there are four programs Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, Diploma Programme and Career Related Programme.

The Primary Years Programme is for 3 - 12 year age group and targets overall development of a child in activities, learning and understanding the world around him.

The Middle Years Programme is meant for age group of 11 - 16 years and prepares students for practical applicability of their learnings and understanding the benefits derived from it.

The last two programmes Diploma Programme and Career Related Programme are for the age group 16 - 19 years are dedicated to intellectual upbringing and developing awareness for employment and career opportunities.

That was for the admission part. Now if someone is interested to teach in such schools then he has to get an IB educator certificate and it is preferred if he has earlier experience even for a short period of teaching in such institutions. If you are interested to know about this in details then you can get more information regarding these aspects at http://www.ibo.org
