What is the cost of a two-wheeler driving licence in Uttar Pradesh

Want to apply for a two-wheeler driving licence in U.P., India? Know from experts what would be the cost and if there is an initial fee which is different from the actual cost of the licence.

What's the actual cost of driving licence in U.P. for a two-wheeler? I am very confused regarding this because when I checked via Google search engine, I got the response as around Rs.250 to Rs.300 but some senior citizens informed me that this is the initial cost and after that, you should have to pay approximately Rs.1200 to Rs.1500.

The official fee structure is as follows.
Driving License grant fee is Rs,200.
The test fee is Rs. 300.
    Smart Card fee is 200.
And the total fee of all the above is Rs 700.
If you want both 4 wheeler and 2 wheeler it is Rs.1000/-.
There may be some other expenses which depend on the individuals involved and their approach to this activity. There are no structured amounts for that.

I have checked the UP website
    http://www.uptransport.co.in/fees.aspx
    https://parivahan.gov.in/sarathiservice8/sarathiHomePublic.do

What you can do is register on the parivahan.gov.in. Then upload your documents and then check the payments help section (https://parivahan.gov.in/payments/HELP.htm)

Many RTO offices are now transparent in terms of amount paid for the LL, the written test and the final driving test. You may have to bear some 'miscellaneous expenses or facilitation charges. I think this is what the senior citizens have implied. If such is the case, no need to get confused, approach any good driving instruction school, have some classes, they will get things done for nominal price.
