Learning HTML is very easy.
You will find W3Schools very good for learning HTML online. You can learn all the HTML tags from the site and can practise the same and test it on their website itself.
Also Please note the below points :
1) HTML code can we done even in a simple text editor like NOTEPAD but Edit Plus is one of the best editor for creating and editing HTML Codes. It has facility of generating HTML Codes automatically at a click of button.
But it will be better to learn and practise in notepad so that you get used to the tags and remember it always. After you are familiar with HTML tags, you can use editplus software for creating and editing HTML Webpages quickly.
2) Although you can test all your HTML Codes in internet explorer, but the best one to use for testing is Mozilla Firefox since it has got a very good debugger which lets your know where the error is occuring unlike internet explorer.
3) Always follow the Programming Standards.
4) Although you can conditionally skip closing of the tags without affecting the result on webpage, but it is a better practise to always close all the tags that has been used by you in code.
