Date: 27 May 2009   Group: Doctors    Category: Homeopathy    Posted By: [Anonymous]

I am 32 yrs old male. I am facing problem of skin flaking on my face.
At places on my face the skin peels off leaving a pinkish white shiny surface.
There is no itching or swelling. My skin is a bit oily. I do not use any face cream.
Please suggest some homeopathic treatment to overcome this problem.

Skin flaking can be due to many causes. Usually everything comes down to one point, lack of water / moisture in the body. Extreme dryness of the skin.

The causes can be varied but the result may be damaged, irritated or inflamed, such as sunburn, allergies, poison ivy, psoriasis and seborrhea. It may also be the flaking has nothing to do with any infection and would be due to just lack of water in your body.

Since you have written that there is no itching or swelling I hope that it is due to lack of enough water. Just start drinking fluids mainly water as much as you can. With that take Vitamin c based citrus fruit juices, fresh ones and not tinned or bottled.

You can see a homeopathic physician if you like and can get one near your place. Homeopathic medicines cannot be given or prescribed just by seeing your complaint. The doctor will have to see you to help you out. It would be better for you to consult a physician who can monitor you personally.

Skin flaking can be due to genetic reasons, extreme cold climatic conditions, psoriasis and seborrhea.

Keep skin moisturised, avoid using soap. For skin flaking due to Psoriasis treat with Salicylic acid

Skin flaking can be due to lack of moisture in the body. in ohter case it may be due to some fungal infection.

avoid going in the sun and dont apply soap or talcum powder for a short period. try using natural home made products like gram flour.

Skin flakes can be due to many reasons.
The main reasons are dehydration, physiological reasons , changes in weather and most importantly FUNGAL INFECTION.

If it is due to dehydration , the skin will look flabby and the skin may peel off. So drink a lot of water and avoid multiple washing over the affected area as it may increase the symptoms and may even become worse if hard soaps are used.

Skin flaking can also occur due to seasonal variation in weather as it is more common in winter. Consider it as a normal phenomenon if there is no pain over redness associated with it.

Skin flaking requires specific attention in two cases
1. if the treatment at home fails to cure it by two weeks

2 . in case of Skin flaking with redness and pain
in the second case it might be fungal infection , usually some superficial dermatophytes.
treatment is done with Clotrimazole creams or oral Ketoconazole.

Hope your doubt is clear

there are several reasons for skin infections like fungal infection, lack of some nutrition. thus try to keep your face clean and do not apply soap or do not use any other ioly iem to clean your face.

if this problem is due to fungus keep your face frequently clean.

try to procure amway products amd use it which are really qualitative in nature.
