Skin flaking can be due to many causes. Usually everything comes down to one point, lack of water / moisture in the body. Extreme dryness of the skin.
The causes can be varied but the result may be damaged, irritated or inflamed, such as sunburn, allergies, poison ivy, psoriasis and seborrhea. It may also be the flaking has nothing to do with any infection and would be due to just lack of water in your body.
Since you have written that there is no itching or swelling I hope that it is due to lack of enough water. Just start drinking fluids mainly water as much as you can. With that take Vitamin c based citrus fruit juices, fresh ones and not tinned or bottled.
You can see a homeopathic physician if you like and can get one near your place. Homeopathic medicines cannot be given or prescribed just by seeing your complaint. The doctor will have to see you to help you out. It would be better for you to consult a physician who can monitor you personally.

Skin flakes can be due to many reasons. The main reasons are dehydration, physiological reasons , changes in weather and most importantly FUNGAL INFECTION.
If it is due to dehydration , the skin will look flabby and the skin may peel off. So drink a lot of water and avoid multiple washing over the affected area as it may increase the symptoms and may even become worse if hard soaps are used.
Skin flaking can also occur due to seasonal variation in weather as it is more common in winter. Consider it as a normal phenomenon if there is no pain over redness associated with it.
Skin flaking requires specific attention in two cases 1. if the treatment at home fails to cure it by two weeks
2 . in case of Skin flaking with redness and pain in the second case it might be fungal infection , usually some superficial dermatophytes. treatment is done with Clotrimazole creams or oral Ketoconazole.
Hope your doubt is clear
