Hi, This is very irritating problem. The skin around anus is crinky, easy to trap very fine fecal matter and easily become moistened with vaginal discharge(in case of females) or from the sweat. It is very difficult to keep the anus dry. When we feel itchy we tend to scratch there and it causes skin breakdown and easy to harbour a micro-organism.Once the micro-organism came there starts the infection.
So always clean the anal area with soap and water(not only with water) after each defecation and make it dry by the use of tissue papers or towel.
If you have sever itching along with pain kindly consult a doctor and have some antibiotics or ointments to cure it. Doctors prefer a " sitz bath" (Dipping the genital area in warm water) also reduces the itching and discomfortness.

Hello, Infection to skin around anus means you have dry skin problem or symptoms of starting piles. Dont worry but you have to take the medicine at right time because if the problem is worst then you cant do anything. Some remedies I am suggesting you from home : 01. Clean your anal area with oily soap like pears, chandrika or any dettol soap. 02. After the anal are clean you apply the coconut oil on that part. 03. But before you go to sleep you apply the soframycin on that part. 04. If you have problem with stool. You should consult the doctor. Thanks

Here is a natural ayurvedic treatment for this condition. take some medicinal camphor from any ayurvedic medicine shop(medicinal camphor not the one we use in Temples) and mix it with some coconut oil. Apply it to any infected area. It can cure any type of infection permanently and without any ill effect.

Most people are familiar with infections and diseases caused by bacteria and viruses, but many are unaware that there is a whole set of disorders related to infections by fungi (singular: fungus). Many of these fungal infections affect the skin.
Doctors give some fungal infections of the skin the general name "tinea." Superficial fungal infections are found in the top layers of the skin and mucous membranes, the hair, and the nails. Examples of fungal infections of the skin and other external surfaces include athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, and candida. These can affect the hair and nails as well. Deep fungal infections invade deeper layers of the skin and hair follicles and can spread to the blood or internal organs.
