Appendix is a rudimentry of Intestine, it is well developed in herbivorus animals like rabbits.,but in human it is rudimentry.Infection of appendicitis and inflammation is called Appendicitis .So it is an acquired not heridatery .the cause of appencitis are mainly worms Or infection cause the said problem

Appendicitis is not a hereditary disease we all have appendix, only some develop inflammation/infection in it- appendicitis.
