No one can make you to go with either of it. It is the one you must decide, but decide it correctly,
If you will be working on the go then Laptop is good. OR if you are just studying some school then PC is the best.
The price of the laptop will be very high for the same configuration of the PC.

1. If you want it all the time with you, the answer is a laptop
2. Depend on the use, If you want a gaming PC, RAM and Processor are really important. Otherwise, average RAM and 2.4 Ghz processor is enough
3.LED is newer and better but expensive
4.Whatever be the brand ask: will all the drivers be available if my windows is uninstalled. I suggest IBM(Lenovo

There are lots of laptops and netbooks available in the Indian market. You have to choose whether you want to go for laptop or a net book. Laptops have higher configuration and more memory space. But net books (though they too give you upto 2 GB Ram and 160 GB HDD), are quite reasonable in price as the processor is Intel Atom processor.
If you plan to use your lap top to store the data on the go then go for a net book and also purchase an external hard disk which is going to cost you another Rs. 4000. One more thing I have to tell you is many of the net books dont have DVD player or writer and so you have to invest another Rs. 3500 to Rs. 4000. Over all if the net book you are purchasing is around Rs. 21500 you will end up with Rs. 30000 if you want to invest in the other two also. Inspite of this I would say, net book is the best and cheap option for the students who want to own a laptop.

Hi there is not much difference between a LCD and LED monitor. Actually speaking the difference lies in the backlight emitting. In LCD only few LEDs are present to light but in LED display entire crystal is lit by the LED. So you will get the uniform display and view will be good. Also you have to choose the RAM configuration and speed. DDR3 is suitable with only FSB of 1600 MHz. If you choose DDR3 and use FSB of 800 then you cannot feel the difference in speed of data.

Firstly, don't bother about the LCD vs LED debate. I'd say go for CLD due its low cost and minor difference only.
Secondly, the most important thing to decide is the processor. What kind of a user are you? If you are a heavy gamer, whci I doubt, cuz then you would already know this, a good processor is necessary. I recommend an intel i3 processor or i5 processor for decent cost effective performance. A dual core is also good, and less pricy. I recommend the processor clock speed above 2 GHz. An i5 can go upto 3 GHZ. And i7 processors are even better, but quite expensive.
Next, your RAM. I presume you'll be using Windows 7. Will you be using VMWare? If not, I recommend 2 GB RAM. If you are a huge gamer or use photoshop or Maya, you'll need more RAM. If you wanna use XP, 1 GB RAM enough. (You can, using downgrade rights, even if it doesnt come preinstalled).
Third, Graphics Card. Only buy one if you are a gamer (and play new games like COD MW2). Then 512 MB or more dedicated graphics is required. Else don't waste your money.
Lastly the disk space. That's upto you. But no need for 7200 RPM. 5400 RPM is good enough.
Finally, I'd say that it doesnt matter at all if you choose 32 bit or 64 bit. In fact, if you have the choice, go for 32 bit. (unless your RAM is more than 4 GB)

Hi Devendra,
1. Laptop is great as one can carry it all the time. 2. If the PC is for gaming purpose then RAM and processor are important otherwise 2-2.4 Ghz is O.K. 3. LCD is inexpensive compare to LED. But new things are always interesting. 4. HCL, hp, Levendo, dell etc I would like to recommend you.

u can go for the company which provide u ur laptop at resonable price and more than that should provide good services. these days u can even go for configurations like 4GB RAM,500GB harddisc, high level graphics cards, etc LED is the latest display on market and better choose that one only. in case of companys,HP is india's trusted company...though DELL provides the best service, which is just a phone call away...

1) For study purpose I think Laptop is more valuable than Notebook. And for job purpose notebook is at first place. 2) Since you are not mentioning the work ,I think for gaming purpose and for software development you need a high configuration, check it out the latest from your nearest store. otherwise I so high configuration is waste ,for this better you choose 320GB HDD,4GB DDR3 RAM,512 NVDIA CARD,CORE 2 DUO Processor(7500)etc. 3)LCD is better always,it gives you a lot sharp images. If I am on your place I always choose LCD. 4) HP AND DELL is always a better option.

Hi Devendra,
1.It depends on for what purpose you want to buy a Laptop. 2.Select that brand on which you can trust upon (like service and quality). 3.select the latest model and fastest configuration. (so you'll not feel older after 3-5 years…) 4.As i think you should go for DELL or HCL.
GOOD LUCK. .
