You may have noticed that the Active Members list is changed. We are making some changes in the method we use calculate the active members list.
In the old system, there were some issues. When a member make new posts, he gets some points. However, if his posts are deleted later, the points were not adjusted in the Active Members list. (The total points were still calculated correctly). The end result is, if someone makes several poor posts, they will eventually get deleted, however, they will still remain in the Active Members list.
We have made significant changes to this approach. Now, you will instantly get points when you make new posts. However, this points will be adjusted when posts are deleted by editors and active members list will be updated accordingly.
As part of this change, we had to delete our current active member data. The total points are not affected. Sorry about this inconvenience, but you will have more accurate results from today.

It also means that when your post is deleted, it will be immediately reflected in the Active Members list. So far, when we were deletting posts, we were not adjusting points in the Active Members list. Members will still remain as Active Member even if all his posts were deleted. This issue is fixed and a member will lose his Active Mamber status if his points go down as part of deleting posts.
I may not be depending on the Active Members list alone to determine the Member of The Month. I can review the database directly and find who contributed most.
