Points & cash credits confusion

Many members are confused about the relation between Points and Cash Credits.

We like to clarify that Points have no relation with cash credits in most cases. However, to encourage our members, we are paying some cash. In each case, we have mentioned how you can calculate the payments from the Points. In some cases, the cash credits is equal to the Points, and in many other cases, it is a multiple of the Points.

We are trying to eliminate this confusion. We are slowly moving to the concept of "Points are equal to Cash in the sections we pay cash". So, if are paying cash, it will be equal to the points in the case of that specific post.

There are other sections where there is no points, but still there will be payments (like Member referral program).

The first change we are making is in "My Interview Experience" section. Earlier, we were paying Rs 5 per POINT for each post in this category. So, if you had 5 points, you would have got Rs 25.

The new method is, we will give you hgiher points. So, if you had received 5 points earlier, now we will change it to 25 points ( so that you will still get Rs 25 ). This change process may take few days to complete.

The next change will be in Yahoo Answers section. You were given 10 Points but only Rs 5 per post. With the new calculation system, the system will show you Rs 10 per post since you had earned 10 points each. To balance this, we will calculate the excess payments and make a Cash Adjustment of negative amount. This will be done in next 2 weeks.

In future, we may support submitting Links from other sites as well, just like Yahoo Answers and Blogs. The same rule will apply then - Points same as Cash credits.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the clarification. It does clear a lot of doubts that many ISCians had, like why their revenue did not show the same value as their points. Now users will have a clear idea as how much effort they have to put it to get the required revenue.
